The back story: Situated in southwestern corner or Utah near the Nevada and Arizona borders, Zion National park is a breath taking scenic journey through rock out crops, intense colors, sharpening canyons and clear sapphire skies. In 1909 the park began as Mukuntuweap National Monument, however in 1919 the area was granted National Park status by the U.S. Congress.
