Our Story
Proudly made in America by Indiana Foundry Foundrymen.
A Legacy of Molten Iron
Collectively our team at American Iron Products has hundreds of years of experience pouring Iron. Our Story is written in every ton of Iron our team produces. Our legacy of pouring iron stretches back to 1946, supporting America during war, during peace, and through 80 years of triumphant prosperity in the United States. Our team uses a process called green sand molding accompanied by various other proprietary molding processes to create our unique products. Our team will melt iron to nearly 2800 degrees before pouring the iron by hand into our molding process. This process yields a highly specialized product that is unmatched by our competitors. Our team takes great pride in their trade and are proud to offer American Iron products to you. Thank you for exploring our passion.

The Heartland of Iron
Every hand crafted item we offer is manufactured in the heart of the Midwest at Plymouth Foundry, Inc. in Plymouth, Indiana. Since 1946, this family-owned foundry has been a beacon of American industry, operating from the same location for over 80 years and counting.
American iron products partnership with Plymouth Foundry, Inc was no accident. This partnership ensures the iron you receive was cast by a tradition established by the original founders of the true pioneers of the industry. True legendary foundryman and women of gray and ductile iron castings who treat every iron pour with family pride.
Our Process: Where Tradition Meets Precision
We believe the best tools are made the hard way. Our manufacturing process is rooted in the traditional Green Sand Casting method—the same technique that built the railroads and infrastructure of this country.

The Mold
Every piece begins in a sand mold, created with 100% USA-sourced materials.

The Pour
Molten iron is poured at precise temperatures to ensure the structural integrity and “heirloom weight” our customers expect.

The Detail
Once cooled, each piece is shaped with grinding stones, machined to the hundred thousandths, hand polished, followed by seasoning or detailed painting by hand ensuring no two pieces are exactly the same. This is where our art comes to life—transforming rugged iron into a detailed canvas of American history.
Why it Matters
In an era of disposable goods and offshore shortcuts, we chose a different path.

100% USA Sourced
From the iron ore to the sand in the molds, we keep our supply chain entirely domestic.

Legacy Quality
Because our products are cast in a facility with a near 80-year history, they carry a level of durability that can’t be replicated in modern, high-volume factories.

Community First
By manufacturing in Plymouth, Indiana, we support American jobs and the local families who have kept the foundry fires burning since the end of WWII.
